Warehouse General Cleaner
About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Key duties include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors, as well as removing waste materials. The cleaner will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of loading docks, entrances, and exterior areas, and promptly cleaning up spills according to company procedures. Operation of cleaning equipment is also a part of the role. Adherence to safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards is mandatory. The position may also involve assisting with warehouse organization and special cleaning projects.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, or warehouse experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse floors and work areas.
- Remove trash, recyclables, and other waste materials from designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of loading docks, entrances, and exterior areas as assigned.
- Clean spills promptly and safely following company procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, and pressure washers as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with warehouse organization and special cleaning projects as required.
