About The Position

The Warehouse Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities for BJ’s digital fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role involves using pick lists and handheld RF scanners to locate, verify, and move merchandise from the sales floor to a staging area, then securely packaging orders in accordance with standard operating procedures. Associates work to meet order deadlines, productivity expectations, and service-level agreements while communicating inventory, equipment, replenishment, and product-date issues to the appropriate team members.

The position also includes maintaining an organized and safe OMNI/SFC work area, handling returns and damaged or spoiled products, following club policies and procedures, and helping in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function. The work involves continuous movement on hard surfaces, frequent positioning to scan or examine merchandise, lifting up to 30 pounds, and potentially moving heavier or awkward items with assistance. The environment may include moving machinery, loud equipment, temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders, and occasional exposure to company-approved cleaning agents.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to meet OMNI productivity expectations, including service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including continuous movement and lifting objects up to 30 pounds; heavier or awkward items may need to be moved with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience.
• Previous RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from a pick list using a handheld RF scanner; verify items and move them from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs.
• Coordinate with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly and meet deadlines, productivity requirements, performance metrics, and service-level agreements.
• Follow established operating procedures and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized; remove trash and cardboard and handle damaged or spoiled products according to procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how they should be handled, including through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive, and service-oriented environment for members and team members.
• Maintain clean, organized OMNI storage areas and bins according to club and safety standards.
