About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Franklin, Indiana, to handle HVAC products in a warehouse distribution facility. The role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution operations in a clean, organized facility focused on safety. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with overtime paid at $30.00 per hour. Warehouse associates receive weekly pay and paid training. The position uses stand-up and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and walkie riders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Thorough, dependable, punctual, and able to maintain good attendance.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, including under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions that may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects of the automated packing system during core production shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
