About The Position

As a full-time Warehouse Forklift Associate with Signature Retail Services, you'll play an important role in ensuring our client's lumber products are inspected, prepared, and ready to move from the warehouse to retail locations. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with the facility manager to inspect inbound and outbound shipments, make minor packaging repairs, operate warehouse equipment, and report your findings through an online system. If you're detail-oriented, safety-focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and ready to put your forklift experience to work, this could be a great fit for you!

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age or older.
  • A Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and have a reliable personal vehicle.
  • 5+ years' experience operating a forklift and order picker, or the willingness to obtain certification.
  • A Smartphone with internet access and the ability to send/receive texts and emails.
  • Possess basic tools and equipment necessary to perform job duties, including work gloves, a tape measure, box cutter, and standard hand tools.
  • This is a physically active role that involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and remaining active throughout overnight shifts
  • Regular lifting, moving, and handling of products, fixtures, and materials up to 50+ lbs.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced remodel environments with overnight project schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely unload and receive inbound shipments of lumber products and building materials using a sit-down forklift or manual methods.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards, documenting findings and addressing any discrepancies before preparing items for outbound shipment to local stores.
  • Prepare and submit detailed daily reports summarizing activities, quality inspection results, and any relevant observations.
  • Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory by performing up-stocking and down-stocking tasks utilizing a forklift or cherry picker.
  • Operate independently while maintaining effective communication with warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform minor repairs on product packaging to maintain presentation and quality standards.
