About The Position

Oliver Packaging and Equipment Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate for their 1st shift. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility, as well as packaging materials and products for domestic and international shipments. The associate will also assist in receiving products, utilizing data entry and labeling, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions for material import and export. Maintaining high inventory accuracy and providing exceptional on-time delivery are key aspects of this position. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Forklift certification is a requirement of this position.
  • Three to five years warehousing responsibility preferred.
  • Team player with well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Works well with people across the organization to gather information, make decisions/recommendations, and drive improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills and significant comfort working with numbers and MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of standard procedures for receiving and shipping including customer requirements and state and federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials and components weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks, bend, reach, and work in close proximity to machinery as required by the role.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical training preferred.
  • Experience with power tools preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the facility.
  • Manually packaging materials and products for outbound domestic and international shipments.
  • Assisting in receiving products and materials into the warehouse.
  • Utilizing data entry and labeling techniques.
  • Collaborating with other departments to expedite timely and cost-effective solutions for importing and exporting materials.
  • Maintaining the highest level of inventory accuracy.
  • Providing exceptional on-time delivery to all customers.
  • Managing daily workload through the CSI Workbench, pulling priorities from the ERP system.
  • Utilizing handheld barcode scanning guns and computers.
  • Receiving all direct and indirect materials, attaching identifying tags or labels, and marking information on containers.
  • Providing point of inspection when needed.
  • Assisting with inventory-related tasks such as cycle counting.
  • Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using company-provided tools, and at times by hand into vehicles, ensuring proper wrapping.
  • Transporting materials from various locations to work sites/locations using material handling tools and equipment.
  • Scheduling outbound shipments with freight carriers.
  • Troubleshooting and addressing issues that arise in material movement, finding creative solutions, and keeping team members informed.
  • Working with other warehouse team members on continuous improvement projects to reduce errors and costs.
  • Scheduling same-day pick-ups and deliveries of products and materials.
  • Performing professional electronic communications with vendors, customers, third parties, and 3PLs.
  • Working with power tools to construct crates for safe shipment of machines and parts.
  • Packaging food equipment, parts and services, food packaging, and machines.
  • Cleaning assigned warehouse and work areas daily.
  • Returning tools and equipment to designated areas.
  • Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required hygiene protocols.
  • Identifying and promptly reporting non-conforming materials, process deviations, or product defects.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Complying with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
