DC Warehouse Equipment Operator ($20.50/hr; 6a and 10a start)

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator with familiarity and experience in multiple core warehouse functions and a commitment to customer service.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience
- Proven ability to train others
- Fully proficient in multiple core warehouse functions
- Proven understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Product knowledge
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Strong organization skills and leadership qualities to take and give team direction
Nice To Haves
- A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory
Responsibilities
- Perform general warehouse functions
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the department
- Assist in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly department goals
- Assist in resolving day-to-day operational issues
- Assist in training and motivating subordinates to improve current performance
- Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement by finding opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, quality, and/or reduce costs while championing related initiatives
- Works with team to ensure department is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
- Other duties as assigned
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Wear a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
