The Duty Manager will manage and control the entire operation for customer airlines, including Office, Warehouse, and Ramp. This role involves developing and directing work assignments for supervisory teams and agents, creating and managing schedules for adequate staffing, and providing on-the-job training and professional development. The Duty Manager will also serve as the point person for customers and management to minimize delays, enforce safety regulations and company policies, and ensure operational equipment is safe. Additionally, they will search for future business opportunities, assist with warehouse and office duties, conduct audits, manage operational KPIs, provide excellent customer service, and create corrective actions for safety and operational incidents. A flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage conflict while under pressure.
  • Possess excellent organizational and planning skills both orally and written.
  • Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be customer focused and have quality awareness.
  • A minimum of 2 years industry leadership experience.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
  • Carry heavy items up and down stairs.
  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
  • Obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check.

Nice To Haves

  • At least three years of ramp agent experience
  • Three years of progressive aviation management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the entire operation for customer airline including Office, Warehouse & Ramp.
  • Develop & direct work assignment for supervisory teams and agents for both the warehouse and office
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for the operation and manage day-to-day labor requirements.
  • Provide on-the-job training and ongoing team member professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as point person for customers and management to minimize or eliminate potential delays.
  • Observe and enforce all AGI and Airline safety regulations as well as company policies.
  • Assure that all operational equipment is safe to operate and report any discrepancy.
  • Actively search for and report to station management any future business opportunities
  • Assist with all Warehouse and Office team duties (safety walks, cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.) as needed.
  • Extensive understanding of cargo operations and customer internal SOP.
  • Conduct and participate in company and customer audits.
  • Understand and Manage operational KPI.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service through written and verbal communication.
  • Create and implement corrective action and preventive measures for all related safety and operational incidents.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
