About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Kansas has been a trusted resource and advocate for people with disabilities and barriers to employment for over 60 years. Our mission is to transform lives and communities through the power of education, training, and employment. We are seeking a Warehouse Donation Attendant to play a key role in furthering our vision and mission in our retail area. This position provides assistance in the dock area with loading, unloading, and moving merchandise, and is crucial in fulfilling our mission statement.

Requirements

  • No minimum qualifications set.
  • Answers donation door within 10 seconds.
  • Ability to work with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment.
  • Demonstrates a positive, role model attitude.
  • Displays commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.
  • Adheres to all safety policies.
  • Adheres to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
  • Lift/push/pull while standing - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes over 100 pounds.
  • Carry/push/pull while moving - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Answers donation door, greets customers, and unloads donations.
  • Sorts donations for in-house storage and loads material for store deliveries.
  • Moves materials in or out of the warehouse.
  • Operates trash compactor.
  • Cleans work area.
  • Locates unloaded material in proper places in the warehouse.
  • Loads material for store deliveries and makes deliveries.
  • Moves trash to compactor as needed.
  • Cleans dock area during the last 7 minutes of the workday.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and reports violations.
  • Supports the mission statement and activities of other departments.
  • Supports the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment, and other barriers to persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Adheres to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment and participates in the achievement of their goals.
  • Demonstrates a positive, role model attitude.
  • Displays commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.
