About The Position

The Warehouse Delivery Driver supports efficient delivery operations and maintains the delivery truck. The role includes warehouse tasks, safely driving merchandise to customers’ homes, unloading and placing merchandise, and conducting regular truck inspections. The driver also provides professional customer service and completes required delivery paperwork.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand delivery paperwork, merchandise tickets, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Regularly stand for long periods; walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel objects.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently lift at least 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to visually inspect merchandise and delivery documents.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks to prevent merchandise damage; assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, report discrepancies, and maintain staging and loading areas.
• Drive the delivery truck to customers’ homes, safely unload and place merchandise, properly sample merchandise, and assemble furniture as required.
• Become familiar with merchandise to support efficient delivery service.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and maintain the delivery truck; report issues to management and ensure the truck is fueled, clean, and properly maintained.
• Help maintain a clean and safe warehouse; pick up merchandise from other stores, complete paperwork, and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a neat appearance and professional attitude; complete paperwork, obtain customer signatures on tickets, and account for CODs.
• Demonstrate honesty, dependability, and professionalism when serving customers.
• Use good communication and time-management skills and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Cover duties for absent personnel and assist with physical store inventories as needed.
• Work under pressure and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
