About The Position
Hamshaw Lumber is seeking a Warehouse/Yard Associate to safely and efficiently load building materials for customers while providing excellent customer service. The role supports daily yard operations, including receiving and unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to follow simple instructions and work well in a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass pre-employment assessments.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to work in outdoor and indoor conditions and lift up to 80 pounds.
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and special events.
Nice To Haves
- Fork Truck certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Build loads for delivery.
- Load and unload lumber and building supplies.
- Operate a forklift.
- Keep management informed of delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe lumber yard.
- Participate in occasional deliveries.
