About The Position

The Warehouse Custodian maintains appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves cleaning facility spaces, maintaining the warehouse and freezer, removing ice and pallet pieces, and keeping the grounds free of debris. The custodian may also maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, and work with machinery and material handling equipment.

Requirements

Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds/9 kilograms; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including the warehouse and freezer.
Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition and properly secured after use, and maintain stock levels through routine checks.
Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
Follow regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
