About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Management System/Wave Planner in Owensboro, Kentucky. This role maintains and balances the inbound and outbound processes of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure daily production needs are met. The position also provides timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel and supports other warehouse operations and personnel as assigned. The schedule rotates between three days one week and four days the next, with 12-hour shifts. Hourly pay is $22.50, paid weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of WMS systems.
• Forklift experience.
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting facility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meeting or exceeding established goals in safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules.
• Communicate with carriers to set appointments and update load statuses.
• Work with the Operations Supervisor to ensure workloads are distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS work down to the floor.
• Work with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve problems with the day's orders.
• Communicate order changes and updates to the customer.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
