About The Position

This role involves taking direction from shift management to position import and export equipment at warehouse dock doors and ensure proper loading of outbound trailers. The position is responsible for assembling documentation for shipment of correct product mixes to customer facilities, providing administrative services, and maintaining computer records. The Warehouse Coordinator II utilizes WM9 / TLS operating systems for transactions, verifies documentation against US Customs Rules and Regulations, and ensures proper handling, identification, and documentation of freight and cargo. This role also involves gathering information on closed-out trailers, researching and resolving overages, shortages, damages, or mis-loads, and entering load data into the computer system. The coordinator compares load slips to system data, ensures loads are not overweight and CBM is accurate, updates the system to seal loads, and produces necessary shipping documents like bills of lading and manifests. Maintaining hard copy files, updating load status, communicating carrier concerns, researching problem data, and assembling/distributing KPI reports are also key functions. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work with others, and perform special projects related to freight handling processes.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of all production documents used to move freight in the warehouse/cross-dock.
  • Utilizing WM9 / TLS operating systems to perform all necessary transactions in support of the production and warehouse management team.
  • Scanning packets (load slips) into WM9 / TLS.
  • Verifying packets and paperwork comply with established US Customs Rules and Regulations pursuant to the SOP.
  • Ensuring freight and cargo is properly handled, identified, documented and communicated within the warehouse.
  • Gathering accurate information about each closed-out trailer.
  • Sorting out overages, shortages, damage, or mis-loads.
  • Researching and providing disposition of findings to shift/account operations manager.
  • Entering each closed-out load into computer system.
  • Comparing load slips to system data.
  • Assuring load is not overweight and CBM is accurate.
  • Updating system to seal each load.
  • Producing bills of lading, manifest and check sheets for each sealed load.
  • Assembling load slips with manifest and bills of lading as required.
  • Maintaining hard copy files of all paperwork related to sealed loads and received trailers.
  • Continually updating system with current status on each load.
  • Acting as a point person to relay carrier concerns and or issues to customer service center.
  • Performing research on problem data or reported OS & D’s.
  • Assembling, producing & distributing KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to clients based on their expectations.
  • Receiving and communicating proper disposition of freight to warehouse/cross dock management teams.
  • Identifying exception freight on all warehouse/cross-dock paperwork prior to distribution to the warehouse/cross-dock.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
