This role is responsible for scheduling inbound and outbound appointments, completing product allocations, communicating with carriers, checking drivers in and out, assisting with inventory control, and ensuring all security policies are followed. The position also involves reviewing and updating past due reports, understanding and following Good Manufacturing Practices, and adhering to Saputo's code of ethics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate.
  • Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are highly organized and efficient.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
  • Must have excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all inbound and outbound appointments, based on load capacity for the given day and shipment complexity.
  • Populate the schedule with required information and accurate PO/Order references.
  • Complete product allocations as needed and/or based on requests from other departments.
  • Communicate with internal transportation and carriers on any scheduling misses, rescheduling requests and/or delays.
  • Provide appointment details, directions and appropriate load information as directed.
  • Check in/out drivers and ensure that all entering and leaving the facility premises are aware of procedure to be followed and have proper load documentation.
  • Assist with inventory control activities as needed.
  • Work directly with carriers, internal transportation, quality, supply planning and customer service to ship orders in full based on schedules and customer expectations.
  • Provide customers and carriers with all required documents, including generating Bill of Lading, COAs, pack lists, etc.
  • Seal all outbound shipments with appropriate type of seal, document seal number and list out any additional stops with seals provided to the carrier.
  • Ensure all security policies and procedures are being followed.
  • On a daily basis, review and provide updates on past due inbound and outbound reports, address past due orders by following up with transportation, carriers, customer service and/or planning.
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.
  • Attend and participate in all required training, shift meetings and committees.
  • Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
