About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Owensboro, Kentucky. The role supports warehouse operations and distribution through warehouse management system (WMS) and wave-planning activities. The position pays $22.50 per hour, with weekly pay, paid training, and a rotating schedule of three days one week and four days the next, working 12-hour shifts. Ryder describes its facilities as clean, organized, and focused on providing a safe supply chain environment. The role works closely with operations, inventory, on-site personnel, carriers, and customers to coordinate dock schedules, order updates, and workload distribution. Additional screening may apply depending on the assignment and may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks and a road test, or customer badging and background requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of WMS systems.
• Forklift experience.
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Support facility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and help meet or exceed goals for safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules.
• Communicate with carriers to set appointments and update load statuses.
• Work with the Operations Supervisor to distribute workloads properly and evenly by managing the WMS down to the floor.
• Work with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve problems with the day's orders.
• Communicate order changes and updates to the customer.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
