About The Position

This role is for Warehouse C, a position within a leading worldwide manufacturer of dispensing and specialty closures, metal containers, and custom designed plastic containers. The company holds a significant market share in metal food containers in North America and serves various markets including personal care, food, health care, and household and industrial chemical markets.

Requirements

Ability to promote a safe working environment.
Understanding and adherence to all Silgan safety policies and procedures.
Ability to promote a "teamwork" atmosphere.
Ability to assist where needed in housekeeping, organizing, packing, transporting corrugated, erecting corrugated and forklift operations for production, shipping and receiving.
Ability to unitize finished good cartons by lot number ensuring no mixed cases.
Ability to run carton make up area, loading materials into carton erectors, assigning the correct cartons to production lines and housekeeping.
Ability to operate stretch wrappers for covering finished good products.
Ability to drive fork/clamp trucks to wrap and put away finished goods with a Silgan provided forklift operator license.
Ability to use a RF scanner to produce, transfer, inquiry and scan to and from hold finished goods.
Ability to evaluate and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
Ability to inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
Ability to assist with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Operate the carton make-up area, loading materials into carton erectors, and assigning correct cartons to production lines.
Operate stretch wrappers for covering finished good products.
Drive fork/clamp trucks to wrap and put away finished goods using a Silgan-provided forklift operator license.
Use a RF scanner for producing, transferring, inquiring, and scanning finished goods to and from hold.
Evaluate and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
Inspect work areas for unsafe acts/conditions.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
