About The Position

Receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products. The role involves reading production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. It also includes conveying materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, and placing materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. The position also entails filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributing them to production workers or assembly lines. Assembling customer orders from stock and placing them on pallets or shelves, and conveying orders to the packing station or shipping department are also key functions. Additionally, the role requires marking materials with identifying information, opening bales, crates, and other containers, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighing or counting items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards, arranging stock parts in a specified sequence for assembly by other workers, and using a computer to enter records are also part of the duties. Compiling worksheets or tickets from customer specifications, driving a vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items, and completing requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments are also included. Preparing parcels for mailing and maintaining inventory records are also responsibilities. The role also requires ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, and following HACCP standards. A personal commitment to one's own safety and that of others is essential, as is abiding by all Company policies and procedures, including specific safety guidelines for handling knives, hot pans, and using slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
