About The Position
This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The position requires prompt and warm greeting of guests, efficient order taking, and professional delivery of food while adhering to safe food handling and sanitation standards. The attendant must demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate combinations, and accommodate reasonable requests. Communication with back-of-the-house staff is essential for correct order delivery and special request accommodation. The role also includes collecting tickets, handling cash, promoting a clean and safe environment, maintaining confidentiality, addressing guest complaints, setting up and cleaning the dining area, operating various equipment, and collaborating with other departments for special events.

- Relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor
- Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period
- Keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards
- Operates a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions
