About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Salinas, California. The role supports the ARC’s rehabilitation program by sorting and inspecting products, identifying items and routing them to the proper department, and collecting and safely transporting merchandise and materials. The employee must follow Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations, maintain confidentiality when needed, and perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the skill area, indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Correctly identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established and maintained by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for the operation of the program.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
