About The Position

As a Pallet Repair Technician, you will repair customers’ damaged pallets and return them to service-ready condition before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. The role supports customer relationships by ensuring repairs meet quality standards and production goals. The position is based at 1800 North Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77449, and pays $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and Monday–Thursday 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

The work involves using air-driven, electric, and manual woodworking tools; handling and moving pallets and materials; and coordinating trailer moves through a yard management system. Employees must work safely, maintain a clean work area, complete production paperwork, and communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager.

The role requires repetitive lifting of up to 85 pounds and standing, walking, bending, stooping, turning, and pivoting throughout shifts of varying lengths. Work may involve extreme conditions, including heat, cold, the elements, and airborne particulates. Hearing protection is usually required; safety glasses and safety shoes are mandatory.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, and manual woodworking tools.
• High school degree or GED.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete production paperwork accurately to track progress.
• Use appropriate tools and methods to repair damaged pallets and return them to service-ready condition.
• Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager.
• Examine repaired products to verify that they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work safely and efficiently without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area.
• Hand-stack pallets to appropriate heights.
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand.
• Move pallets and materials on pallets or in crates to the appropriate staging area.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
• Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system.
