About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production Department and sorts, inspects, identifies, and transports merchandise in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies and safety requirements. The role may be part-time or full-time and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Other duties may be assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to The Salvation Army’s standards.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products and direct them to the appropriate department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
• Follow safety measures established by The Salvation Army and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as required for program operations.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for overtime; the supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard alongside overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
