About The Position

The Backroom Processor / Warehouse Associate works in the Retail department and reports to the Store Manager. The position sorts merchandise according to Salvation Army policy, inspects products for defects or damage, identifies items and directs them to the appropriate department, and collects merchandise from the distribution center while transporting materials safely. The employee follows applicable Salvation Army and government safety requirements and maintains confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program. Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager or designated representative.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.

Responsibilities
