About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Lodi, California. The ARC is a no-fee program that assists men and women in completing its rehabilitation program. The Salvation Army says its work is motivated by the love of God and aims to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs without discrimination.

The role sorts and inspects products, identifies items and routes them for processing, and collects and transports merchandise from the distribution center. Employees follow Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations and maintain confidentiality as required. Overtime requires written supervisor approval.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime, with the supervisor’s initials appearing on the timecard beside overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned from time to time by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
