About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Lodi, California. The position supports the ARC’s rehabilitation program by sorting and inspecting products, identifying merchandise and directing it to the appropriate department, and safely transporting materials. The role requires following Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations, maintaining confidentiality when required, and completing other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime and ensure the supervisor’s initials appear on the timecard beside the overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
