About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production Department, sorting and inspecting merchandise, identifying products, and transporting materials from the distribution center. The role follows Salvation Army policies and applicable government regulations, maintains confidentiality as needed, and may include other duties assigned by designated management. The position is listed as part time or full time and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for all overtime; the supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard beside overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
