About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production department and sorts, inspects, identifies, and transports merchandise according to Salvation Army policies and procedures. The role includes following applicable safety measures, maintaining confidentiality when required, and completing other duties assigned by management. Any overtime requires written supervisor approval, with the supervisor’s initials recorded on the timecard.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Correctly identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime and ensure the supervisor’s initials appear on the timecard beside the overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
