About The Position

The Donation Attendant works in the Production department and receives donated items at a Salvation Army donation trailer or pod. The role includes assisting donors, providing receipts, sorting and stacking donations, maintaining the donation area, completing paperwork, and supporting truck loading as needed. The attendant must secure the donation trailer or pod at the end of each shift and have flexible scheduling availability. The position is full-time and pays $19.61 per hour. The immediate supervisor is the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without assistance.
Ability to perform various repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain the area in and around the donation trailer or pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
Wear neat, clean, suitable clothing in accordance with The Salvation Army dress code policy.
Courteously assist donors with donated items and provide receipts.
Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by the supervisor.
Separate and sort donated materials into the proper containers and stack materials as instructed by the supervisor.
Assist Salvation Army PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
Inform the supervisor when supplies are running low, such as brooms, receipts, totes, or carts.
Secure and lock the donation trailer or pod at the end of each shift.
Maintain flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
