About The Position

The Salvation Army is seeking a Donation Attendant to join their Production Department. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the donation area, assisting donors, sorting and organizing donations, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires effective communication, the ability to follow instructions, and physical capability to handle donations and maintain the work area.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
• Be available for flexible scheduling
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
