Warehouse Associate - General Labor
About The Position
As a General Laborer, you will help meet and exceed production requirements by hand-sorting materials such as wooden pallets, boxes, and plastic bins. The role is based in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. First shift runs Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at $18.00 per hour. Fourth shift runs Saturday through Monday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., at $19.00 per hour. The work takes place in conditions that may include heat, cold, outdoor elements, and airborne particulates. Employees repeatedly lift up to 50–75 pounds and bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for shifts of varying lengths. Noise levels vary by location. Personal protective equipment is required, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations. The role requires close, distance, and color vision. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A high degree of attention to help prevent injury to others.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50–75 pounds and bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for shifts of varying lengths.
- Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, outdoor elements, and airborne particulates.
- Required use of personal protective equipment, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations.
- Close, distance, and color vision abilities.
Responsibilities
- Hand-stack materials appropriately.
- Load and unload materials by hand into trailers.
- Move materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
- Check loads to ensure they are secure.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
