About The Position

As a General Laborer, you will help meet and exceed production requirements by hand-sorting materials such as wooden pallets, boxes, and plastic bins. The role is based in North Canton, Ohio. Available schedules are second shift, Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., or third shift, Saturday through Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour.

The work environment may involve exposure to outdoor elements, heat, cold, and airborne particulates. Employees may need to work in locations with varying noise levels and must use required personal protective equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• High degree of attention to help prevent injury to others.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50–75 pounds and bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
• Use of required personal protective equipment, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Hand-stack materials appropriately.
• Load and unload materials by hand into trailers.
• Move materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
