Warehouse Associate I - Sunbelt Supply
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment in accordance with quality and productivity standards. The role coordinates shipping and receiving activities, handles and routes products, and may work on valve automation and assembly under the direction of the warehouse supervisor. The position operates in a warehouse environment, with occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites and typically less than 10% travel. The associate maintains a clean and organized work area and follows and promotes company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of typical warehouse equipment, machines, and tools.
- Forklift experience; certification is a plus.
- Material resource planning and/or production control experience with Systems Applications Processes (SAP).
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities at the shipping and receiving dock, including unloading and loading semi-trucks, UPS trucks, and FedEx trucks.
- Handle incoming and outgoing products and goods, including packaging and preparing LTL shipments and their documentation.
- Route material to staging or shipping areas.
- Work on valve automation and assembly under the direction of the warehouse supervisor.
- Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software to track and communicate internally and with customers, carriers, and suppliers.
- Maintain the work area, including keeping it free of trash and products in their correct locations.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
- Prioritize work and maintain attention to detail and organization.
