Warehouse Associate I - Sunbelt Supply
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate verifies and maintains records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment in accordance with quality and productivity standards. The role coordinates shipping and receiving activities, handles and routes products, and may support valve automation and assembly work under the direction of the warehouse supervisor. The position operates in a warehouse environment, with occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites and typically less than 10% travel. Associates are expected to maintain an orderly work area and follow and promote company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of typical warehouse equipment, machines, and tools.
- Forklift experience; forklift certification is a plus.
- Material resource planning and/or production control experience with SAP.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipping and receiving dock activities, including unloading and loading semi-trucks, UPS, and FedEx trucks.
- Handle incoming and outgoing products and goods; package and prepare less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments and documentation.
- Route material to staging or shipping areas.
- Work on valve automation and assembly under the direction of the warehouse supervisor.
- Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software to track and communicate with internal teams, customers, carriers, and suppliers.
- Maintain the work area, including keeping it free of trash and ensuring products are in the correct locations.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
- Prioritize and organize work with attention to detail.
