About The Position

General Vesta is a luxury interior design, staging, and furniture studio with over 15 years of experience and more than 2,000 projects in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Florida, and New York. The Warehouse Associate handles, protects, moves, inspects, and stores furniture and other inventory throughout the warehouse and distribution process. The position follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) for wrapping, lifting, packing, scanning, and using material-handling equipment. Order Picker forklift use is permitted after provided training. Conversational English is required. The posting lists a first shift of 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a second shift of 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday assistance may be needed based on business needs. Duties may include other work as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of warehouse experience.
Conversational English.
Ability to follow SOPs for handling, protecting, lifting, packing, scanning, and moving inventory.

Responsibilities

Handle and protect furniture using appropriate wrapping materials and procedures.
Follow SOPs for safe lifting, packing, and use of material-handling equipment.
Use basic scanner functions to track inventory movement within the warehouse and to job sites.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers containing product or supply packages.
Use material-handling equipment to load and unload items safely.
Help keep products stored in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
Visually inspect products for damage and blemishes as part of quality control.
Use an Order Picker forklift after completing provided training.
Understand inventory SKU and serial number designations.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Perform basic cleaning and minor refurbishing of products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
