Warehouse Associate, Part-Time Nights Flex
About The Position
Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks necessary for receiving, storing, and shipping products. The work supports the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt through shipment to internal and external customers, according to prescribed service parameters. The Warehouse Associate follows established procedures to process orders, performs housekeeping and inventory-control tasks, and maintains a clean work environment while complying with Environmental Health and Safety requirements. The role involves routine assignments under moderate supervision, with regular review of work by a lead or supervisor. The associate applies acquired skills, learns new methods, maintains required licenses and training, and refers complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
- Experience working with powered industrial trucks (PIT).
Responsibilities
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to process orders.
- Accurately pick orders and perform quality control checks.
- Sort and consolidate freight; build and wrap pallets; pack and load orders; and prepare orders for shipment.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and/or participate in projects as assigned by a manager or other management team member.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean work environment.
- Comply with Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills to standard tasks, learn and apply new information and methods, and maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Adhere to quality guidelines and refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
