About The Position

Enhance product workflow by organizing and maintaining warehouse conditions along with continuous product flow to individual lines. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The associate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including loading/unloading trucks, managing inventory, operating equipment, and ensuring efficient material flow to production lines.

Requirements

  • Great attitude, exceptional attendance, takes initiative and is organized, reliable, detail oriented, able to multi-task and work effectively in a team.
  • Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external customers including Byrne customers, vendors, other employees and leadership.
  • Good organizational skills with focus on accuracy.
  • Understanding importance of count verification and location of all new material.
  • Ability to adhere to FIFO system.
  • Experience with root cause problem solving.
  • Quick learner and independent decision maker.
  • Continuous improvement orientated.
  • Hi-Lo License must be obtained, within 6 months of transfer or employment, and maintained.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • PMP certification desired

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintains organization of warehouse area.
  • Receives, unpacks, checks, labels, and stores/organizes raw material for production.
  • Operates HI-LO (per OSHA + MIOSH requirements license must be on person during working hours /and while operating a HILO), and hand truck equipment as necessary for unloading truck and transporting materials.
  • Keep lines filled (goal is point-of-use storage).
  • Organize and store all material in assigned areas.
  • Enter packing slips into Syteline (receiving via computer).
  • Maintains recycle and trash areas in dock area. Manage trash pick-up.
  • Facilitates recyclable packing and returnable totes.
  • Monitor and communicate needs for min/max system (cardboard, fittings, etc.).
  • Collects, stores and keeps records of scraped material.
  • Look for common sense solutions for reducing inventory costs and handling charges.
  • Assists w/ product transfers between plants via company truck.
  • Monitor and verify all tags on containers and barrels.
  • Promote harmonious, productive working relationships w/ colleagues (internal customers) and vendors.
  • Project positive company image thru proper dress (polo shirt and long pants) and high level of integrity during customer and vendor visits.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
