About The Position

Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of a warehouse facility. General warehouse duties occur within an assigned area of warehouse operations, but the position supports all areas of the warehouse as needed. This is an inbound weekend shift running Friday through Sunday.

Requirements

Communication skills sufficient to communicate with co-workers, understand and provide directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit.
Ability to learn the basic use and operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
Ability to maintain annual certification requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred.
Experience with warehouse management system applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment.
Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure ordered items were received and are correct, undamaged, and not defective; enter data into a remote data terminal.
Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
Replenish pick areas based on replenishment reports and requests for merchandise.
Fill merchandise orders from stores by selecting and moving merchandise from pick slots to a conveyor.
Load outgoing merchandise from a conveyor and/or four-wheel truck into a trailer.
Report damages and vendor compliance issues to a supervisor.
Partner with a supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
