About The Position

Warehouse Operations performs manual or automated tasks needed to receive, store, and ship products. This may include receiving product, fulfilling and packaging orders, and shipping them within established team goals to support on-time delivery. Flex Workers are Cardinal Health employees hired on an as-needed basis with a variable, flexible schedule. Employees must work at least one day per week and may pick up shifts as they choose, up to 29 hours per week. The scheduled Friday shift is 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or until the task is complete; hours on the remainder of the week depend on available shifts and employee preference. The role works in refrigerated conditions of 36°F–42°F for up to eight hours or longer.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working at heights up to 30 feet.
Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work at least one day per week, with a maximum of 29 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
Warehouse experience; candidates with little to no warehouse experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

Work in refrigerated conditions of 36°F–42°F for up to eight hours or longer.
Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Train and obtain certification to operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
