About The Position
Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health performs manual or automated tasks necessary for receiving, storing, and shipping products. This may include receiving product, fulfilling orders, packaging, and shipping within established team goals to ensure on-time delivery. This is a Flex Worker position with a variable, flexible schedule. Flex Workers are Cardinal Health employees hired on an as-needed basis and must work at least one day per week. Employees may pick up hours based on preference and available shifts, up to 29 hours per week. The listed schedule is Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or until the task is complete; for the remainder of the week, employees may choose how many available hours to work, up to the weekly limit. The work involves working in a refrigerated area at 36°F–42°F for up to eight hours or longer. Training is provided starting on the first day. The anticipated hourly range is $20.00–$20.60, based on experience and including shift differential. The position is not bonus eligible. Paid time off is provided in compliance with applicable laws.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work in a refrigerated area at 36°F–42°F for up to eight hours or longer.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working at heights up to 30 feet.
- Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with technology such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
- Warehouse experience; candidates with little to no warehouse experience are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality-control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train and become certified to operate material-handling equipment as required by job duties.
