About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Salinas, California. The ARC is a no-fee program that assists men and women in completing its rehabilitation program. The role supports the maintenance and effectiveness of the program by sorting and inspecting products, identifying items for processing, and safely transporting materials. The position requires following Salvation Army policies and applicable government regulations, as well as maintaining confidentiality when required. Overtime requires written supervisor approval.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime and ensure the supervisor’s initials appear on the timecard beside overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
