About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, stocking, preparing, and shipping merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. The role is performed in a warehouse and operations environment and involves working around fast-moving material-handling or other mechanical equipment. The position is full-time, with a schedule listed as Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. or until work is finished, with some overtime. Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental needs, or business requirements. The position does not require travel.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a functional capacity test.
Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker.
Ability to lift 40–60 pounds repeatedly during each shift.
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand, and twist for extended periods.
Ability to successfully complete forklift training and certification requirements.
Ability to operate Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.
Must be able to work a varying schedule that may include day or night shifts, weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous knowledge of SAP.
One year of warehouse experience.
Previous forklift certification.
Six months of previous warehouse experience and/or training.
Material-handling equipment experience.
Reach truck experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately select merchandise from assigned slots and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
Load merchandise into the appropriate truck.
Move merchandise from reserve locations to pick slots.
Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
Repack loose merchandise for shipping or delivery.
Verify product quality, packaging, and compliance with vendor policies.
Follow the Warehouse Labor Standard and Preferred Method Standard.
Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
Shrink-wrap merchandise or pallets after picking as needed.
Perform assigned housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
