About The Position

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for their portion of the warehouse functions. This role will be accountable for the suitable handling and processing of all orders received in the picking, scanning, shipping, receiving and/or returns area. Though each associate is assigned to a section of the warehouse, all are trained in the various areas and work where needed most as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements

Pay very close attention to detail in order to effectively manage inventory and process orders.

Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
Efficiently operate a computer and demonstrate PC proficiency as needed.
Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
Recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems.

Walking and/or standing up to 10 hours per day, 6 days per week if applicable.
Ascend/descend stairs/ladders when getting in/out of fork truck and using ladders to access high shelves to put labels away and/or rearrange product.
Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and have the ability to exchange detailed information.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely pull, process, and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures, and part and complete required paperwork.
Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining the company standard error rate.
Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas.
Read work orders and/or receive verbal instructions for work assignments.
Fill and complete order receipts.
Transport filled orders to and from shipping area.
Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards and maintain clean and orderly work area.
Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
Perform other duties as requested.
