About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating a scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The role also supports customer experience, store recovery, safety, loss prevention, merchandising standards, and front-end coverage, and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to meet business needs.

The position requires adherence to company policies and procedures, including health and safety, loss prevention, labor laws, and meal and break periods. Associates communicate effectively with management and colleagues, maintain a safe environment, and perform other duties as assigned.

The starting pay range is $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The role is at Marshalls Store 0379, 720 Jefferson Rd, Henrietta, New York.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floor care.
• Operate floor-care equipment, including a scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, as needed.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including associate meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
