About The Position

Wurth Baer Supply Company is hiring a full-time Warehouse Order Picker and Packer for its distribution center in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The role involves picking and packing orders and handling materials in a fast-paced warehouse. The position is permanent and direct-hire, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST, totaling 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. Overtime is offered regularly but is not mandatory. Applicants must complete a 10-panel pre-employment drug test that includes THC; the posting states that any THC-positive result will fail the test, with no exceptions. No criminal background check is conducted. Wurth Baer Supply Company is a specialty wholesale distributor serving the woodworking industry, with 29 distribution locations. Requirements

At least 1 year of warehouse experience in a receiving position with similar duties.
Good communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Sit-down forklift experience.
Ability to stand for 3 to 4 hours at a time.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to withstand fluctuating temperature changes.
Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent work ethic.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort with shifting job duties.
Successful completion of the required 10-panel pre-employment drug test, including THC testing.

Nice To Haves

Cherry picker experience, operating an order picker vehicle with a harness.
Forklift experience is noted as a plus.

Responsibilities

Pick and pack orders on foot using a hand card.
Use a pallet jack.
Load and unload trailers.
Operate a cherry picker with a harness to pick or put away materials in warehouse racks; this experience is not mandatory.
Roll and pack 3x3 laminate sheets.
