About The Position

Warehouse Associates help receive, stock, and ship tires and wheels for Tire Discounters store locations. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and is expected to maintain high productivity within the warehouse/driver workgroup. The role includes unloading deliveries, putting tires into inventory, picking stock orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring items are properly loaded into trucks. Work involves physical handling of tires and operating material handling equipment in warehouse conditions that can include extreme heat or cold and loud noise.

Requirements

• No prior warehouse experience is required; warehouse experience is a plus.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
• Desire and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to operate an RF scanner after training.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from a certified institution.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, lift, pull, and push.
• Ability to stand and walk for 90% of the workday.
• Ability to be trained to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work in extreme heat or cold inside trailers and containers.
• Ability to work in an environment with loud noises.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries.
• Clear the unloading area by storing delivered tires in loaded inventory bins.
• Clean the unloading area and surrounding warehouse as directed.
• Assist regular route drivers with loading as needed.
• Clear the dock to facilitate pulling the next day's stock order.
• Check the overflow and returns area for items that need to be restocked.
• Pick tire stock orders as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory in the WMS computer system.
• Ensure tires and other items are accurately loaded into each truck.
• Perform other projects and duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
