About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join a team in a wholesale lumber warehouse. This position is hands-on and physically active, ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure required
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that can be hot in summer and cold in winter
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse, lumberyard, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize lumber products by size, grade, and type
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks safely using proper procedures
- Break down and separate large bundles of lumber for inventory and order fulfillment
- Read a tape measure accurately for cutting, sizing, and order selection
- Use basic math skills for measurements, counts, and order quantities
- Inspect lumber for damage, defects, or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse area
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
