About The Position

This position involves scanning products to be stocked in various warehouse locations, verifying part numbers and quantities, and ensuring accurate placement. The role requires rotating parts for "first in first out" inventory management, finding alternative locations if needed, and updating the Warehouse Control System (WCS). Associates may operate push carts, carousels, or pallet jacks. The position emphasizes meeting internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery, while adhering to standard operating procedures and quality goals. Maintaining acceptable time and attendance, working overtime as needed, and demonstrating a positive, team-oriented attitude are crucial. The role also includes ensuring a safe working environment, supporting daily warehouse metrics, performing foreign object detection (FOD) and location maintenance for 5S standards, and cross-training in other areas as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Energetic and goal focused.
  • Effective English communication skills.
  • Basic computer navigation and typing skills.
  • Ability to count accurately and perform simple math.
  • Ability to read English and comprehend simple written work instructions.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Scan product to be stocked in pick module, carousel, or mezzanine.
  • Verify part number and quantity to be stocked.
  • Scan storage location and verify parts in location match parts to be stocked.
  • Rotate parts to ensure “first in first out” where appropriate.
  • Find new locations for parts if adequate space is not available, using split stock or larger location functions.
  • Scan parts into new location and verify within WCS.
  • Operate push cart, carousel, or pallet jack as required.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Meet established quality goals and productivity goals.
  • Actively participate in job qualification audits and adhere to all established standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain acceptable time and attendance.
  • Be available to work overtime as required due to business demands.
  • Demonstrate a positive “team” oriented attitude and approach toward work assignments.
  • Collaborate and cooperate with others to complete work assignments effectively and efficiently.
  • Accept and embrace “other duties as required”.
