Warehouse Associate Stacker 1st shift
About The Position
The Stacker role within the Distribution Center (“DC”) at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” or “Company”) is responsible for merchandise put-a-ways, replenishment, pull combine, transfers, and consolidations while utilizing a reach truck and the radio frequency (“RF”) scanner in a manner that meets established standards in safety, quality, and productivity. Requirements
- 1 or more years of relevant warehouse experience.
- Ability to learn proper use of RF scanner as well as safely operate stacker and reach truck forklift.
- Strong attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills for a team environment are required.
- Successful completion of the Powered Equipment Training, Stacking Area Training Program, and the Associate Proficiency Test.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and achieve any applicable license.
- Ability to meet Stacking Area productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Stacker equipment functions including, but not limited to, put-a-ways, replenishment, pull combine, transfers, consolidations, full pallet pulls, stacking T-Racks, splitting and moving cases, and order picking.
- Scan all pallets to a location and to drop zones.
- Review daily audit trail.
- Consolidate pallets in an effort to save space.
- Locate and remove merchandise in warehouse racking.
- Order picking when necessary.
- Operate and conduct daily review of equipment and communicate any concerns or issues as necessary; coordinate with maintenance for resolution.
- Work in compliance with standard operating procedures in addition to state and federal requirements.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean work area to meet or exceed safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Work on special projects and high-priority projects as needed.
