Forklift/Stacker Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., producer of the Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking a forklift and stacker operator. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefit package. With 15 full-service treating plants and several production facilities, Great Southern Wood is strategically located to serve lumber yards and building supply stores across the South, Midwest, and Northeast.
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience
- Must have previous forklift experience
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Lumber experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Use pedals to go forward and backwards as well as be able to navigate a warehouse.
- Use hydraulic controls to lift, tilt, and shift product for stacking or movement.
- Unload trucks and place product into the warehouse.
- Move product around the warehouse.
- Load trucks for logistics to ship to customers.
- Run the control system to move layers through the machine and into units.
- Manually operate controls at the operator station and understand how the system works to keep the line running efficiently.
- Move plywood or boards around if needed.
