About The Position

The Warehouse Associate - Returns supports distribution operations by receiving and processing returns. The role includes taking returns from drivers, checking returned items against company sales, sorting items, recording them in the computer system, and assisting the inside returns team. The associate also coordinates with salespeople and managers to resolve customer return issues and performs other related duties. The position is based in Canoga Park, California, and lists a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at an hourly rate of $18.42.

Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach; occasionally sit, climb ladders or stairs, or balance.
Be able to perform in potentially variable environmental conditions, including narrow aisles or passageways.
Meet the role's vision requirements, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of warehouse experience is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse safety measures.

Responsibilities

Receive returns from drivers and open boxes to verify items are correct and were sold by the company.
Separate returns into core, defect, and new categories.
Place account number stickers on cores and defects.
Redistribute new merchandise to other stores.
Enter each returned item into the computer system.
Help the inside returns team create negative purchase orders.
Work with salespeople and managers to address problems with customer returns.
Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
