About The Position

This position pays $18.65 per hour (including shift premium) with increases at 90 and 360 days if meeting expectations. The role involves assisting in unloading boxes and pallets from trucks, verifying pallet counts with bills of lading, and checking for damages. Responsibilities include pulling boxes from conveyors or pushing carts to pallets, confirming part numbers and quantities against packing slips and labels, checking for damaged parts, and entering relevant information into the system. The associate will sort and deliver packages to designated staging locations and may operate pallet jacks or forklifts with in-house certification. The position requires meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery, achieving quality goals related to 'parts per million' errors, and meeting productivity goals. Active participation in job qualification audits and adherence to standard operating procedures are essential. Maintaining acceptable time and attendance, being available for overtime, and demonstrating a positive, team-oriented attitude are also key aspects of the role. The associate will contribute to the operations team by accepting other duties, working independently with minimal supervision, and maintaining a sense of urgency and a positive attitude focused on results. Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to policies and notifying management of hazards is crucial. The role supports daily warehouse department metrics and performs FOD and location maintenance to maintain 5S standards. Cross-training in other areas is also required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
  • Energetic and goal focused
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Basic computer navigation and typing skills
  • Ability to count accurately and perform simple math
  • Ability to read English and comprehend simple written work instructions
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach on a frequent basis
  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • May require an in-house material handling equipment license according to the type of equipment being operated and follow defined safety guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

Responsibilities

  • Assists in unloading boxes and pallets from trucks; verifies pallet count with bill of lading and checks for damages.
  • Pulls box from conveyor or pushes cart to pallets on floor and down stacks boxes on pallet; confirms part number and quantity on packing slip; matches part number and quantity on part label; checks for damaged parts; enters packing list number, quantity, and purchase order number in system.
  • Sorts and delivers packages to designated staging locations.
  • May be required to occasionally operate pallet jack, rider pallet jack, or forklift with required in-house certification.
  • Ensures TTI meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery within the areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Meets established quality goals in relation to errors measured as “parts per million” produced and productivity goals as defined by Management.
  • Actively participates in job qualification audits and strictly adheres to all established standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains acceptable time and attendance based on TTI policies defined by Human Resources and Operations; available to work overtime as required due to business demands.
  • Demonstrates a positive “team” oriented attitude and approach toward work assignments in full collaboration and cooperation with others to complete all work assignments according to expectations and in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

  • Performs FOD (foreign object detection) and location maintenance to ensure 5S standards are maintained.
  • Actively cross trains in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function.
